A night of bold flavors, legendary chefs, and a tribute to a true culinary icon. Join us as we raise a glass to Chef Charles Phan, a pioneer who forever changed the way the world experiences modern Vietnamese cuisine. Slanted & Phantastic brings together the chefs he admired, those he inspired, and longtime friends to celebrate his legacy the best way we know how—with incredible food and unforgettable cocktails.

Best known as the visionary behind The Slanted Door, Phan elevated Vietnamese food to new heights, blending tradition with innovation to introduce bold flavors, impeccable technique, and a deep respect for culture to a global audience. A James Beard Award-winning chef, his influence extended far beyond his own kitchen, shaping the next generation of culinary talent.

For one night, an all-star lineup of 12 chefs who cooked alongside him, learned from him, and followed in his footsteps will honor Phan. From Honolulu to the Bay Area, New York, Washington D.C., and beyond, these chefs will pay tribute to his legacy with dishes that embody his culinary spirit and signature approach—the fusion of Southeast Asian flavor, refinement and creativity. The evening will also feature the finest mixologists showcasing their talent through expertly crafted cocktails, alongside a curated selection of wine and beer, all in celebration of Chef Phan’s lasting impact on the culinary world.   • Priority ticket gives you early entry at 5:00 P.M., an hour before General Admission attendees.
  • VIP includes early entry at 5:00 P.M. for eight (8) guests, a private reserved cabana with dedicated waitstaff and access to an exclusive sushi experience from Chef Masaharu Morimoto just for VIP guests!
  • Event is outdoors, resort casual attire.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING VIP ACCESS

VIP guests receive early entry at 5:00 P.M. and a reserved VIP cabana. Tickets are not issued for this event; guests will be checking in by a guest list, where they will receive a special VIP wristband.

To ensure a seamless experience for all VIP guests, please note that access to the VIP area is limited to only those wearing the VIP wristbands. Guests must wear their VIP wristband throughout the evening to enjoy the exclusive sushi station and reserved cabana seating.

Guests without the proper wristbands will not be permitted entry, and kindly ask that VIP guests refrain from bringing guests into the VIP section that are not included on their guest list or do not have a VIP wristband.
