HONOLULU, HI (October 14, 2021)—Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival (HFWF), today announces that the Kamehameha Schools Presents Backyard BBQ & Mele on the Lawn event will be rescheduled for December 5, 2021, from 5:30 to 9:00 P.M. at Bishop Museum. HFWF moves the event in accordance with updated mandates from state and health officials related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the first time in Festival history, HFWF crafts an evening to showcase Hawai‘i’s rich culture and top talent and across local culinary, creative, fashion and entertainment industries. Chef and musical lineups will feature Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winners Na Leo and Keauhou, alongside chefs and pit masters from Easy ‘Que, Nui Kealoha, Sunset Texas Barbeque, Teddy’s Bigger Burgers and Tex 808 BBQ + Brews. Partnerships with Hawai‘i ‘Ulu Cooperative, Hawaiian lifestyle brand MANAOLA, as well as event co-hosts Brook Lee and Manu Boyd, will also proceed as planned.

Tickets for Kamehameha Schools Presents Backyard BBQ & Mele on the Lawn are on sale at www.HFWF.me. Guests must be 21 years or older to attend the event. Tickets are $250 per person. A very limited number of VIP tents accommodating eight guests are also on sale for $5,000, inclusive of preferred seating, additional menu items including a specialty seafood platter, a gourmet charcuterie and cheese board, and elevated wine, beer and cocktail options.
Adhering to the latest requirements by the City & County of Honolulu, all attendees will be required to show proof of full vaccination in order to attend the event. Further information about health and safety is available on the HFWF FAQ page and questions can be directed to [email protected].
To ease any inconvenience for current ticket holders, HFWF offers options:
- Tickets may be transferred to the new December event date without further action needed. New ticket(s) will be received on or around October 20, 2021.
- Guests unable to attend the new event date may receive a full refund. *Guests may also choose to make a donation to support the Festival. Refunds must be requested by October 20, 2021.
