
Sean Dee
Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, Outrigger® Hospitality Group - Honolulu, HI
Sean Dee is Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Outrigger® Hospitality Group, responsible for developing and deploying global marketing, brand, revenue management, and sales strategies for the Outrigger global portfolio, which spans 32 owned and operated properties across 5 countries. He also serves the State of Hawaii as the chair of the Hawaii Visitor and Convention Bureau.
Sean joined Outrigger from Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) Worldwide, where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and, subsequently, President of Global Branding for its live music division. While at AEG, Mr. Dee was appointed to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for LATCB, the non-profit entity that oversees all tourism-related initiatives as well as convention center sales and marketing efforts on behalf of the city and county of Los Angeles. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors for the non-profit GRAMMY Museum at LA Live and STAPLES Center Foundation.
Prior to AEG, Mr. Dee was the first EVP – Chief Marketing Officer for Hard Rock International, where he directed the company’s worldwide brand, sales, marketing, and merchandising initiatives for its global portfolio of restaurants, hotels, casinos, and live venues. His expertise in marketing was honed early in his career at Levi Strauss & Company where he led the pioneering teams that launched the company into e-commerce in the mid-1990s.
Mr. Dee began his career as a Media and Account Executive for the advertising agency Foote, Cone & Belding San Francisco. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Stanford University and certification from the Stanford Mass Media Institute.
He previously served 2 terms as a board member of the Hawaii Tourism Authority, currently serves on the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association Board, HSMAI Board of the Americas and is a founding board member of the Henry Kapono Foundation
He lives in Honolulu with his wife Brooke and daughters Alexandra and JP and considers himself an ocean advocate with a love for travel.
