Micah Kane

President and CEO, Parker Ranch - Kamuela, HI

Micah Kane is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Parker Ranch, Inc., one of the largest and most historic cattle ranches in the United States. He assumed full-time leadership in September 2025, bringing decades of experience in land stewardship, organizational leadership, and community investment. Prior to joining Parker Ranch, Micah served as Chief Executive Officer of the Hawaii Community Foundation from 2017-2024, where he oversaw the endowment’s growth from $500 million to $1.2 billion while advancing initiatives to strengthen opportunity, affordability, and resilience across Hawaii. During his tenure, HCF played a pivotal role in helping Hawaii respond to four major disasters, including the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and the Lahaina wildfires, where HCF raised more than $220 million from over 350,000 donors spanning 75 countries worldwide. His leadership journey also includes serving as Chair of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, Chief Operating Officer for Pacific Links International, and a trustee of Kamehameha Schools.

At Parker Ranch, Micah leads efforts to balance the ranch’s historic cattle operations with its broader mission of environmental stewardship, cultural preservation, and economic sustainability for Hawaii Island, with a primary focus on Waimea. He holds a business degree from Menlo College and an MBA from the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Micah is HAPPILY married to Joelle Kane, Principal at Gallagher Kane Attorneys at Law, and together they have three daughters — Ili (28), Sunny (26), and Ohu (25) — as well as three grandchildren, Lana (4), Lahela (8 months), and Naleo (Newborn)
