Kevin Yim is the Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Zippy’s Restaurants, Hawaii’s most beloved and iconic food brand. He leads the company’s marketing, digital experience, loyalty programs, public relations, and community affairs. Prior to Zippy’s, he led marketing teams at other iconic Hawaii brands, such as Hawaiian Airlines and Bank of Hawaii. At Hawaiian Airlines, he spearheaded consumer marketing efforts around the globe as Hawaiian launched routes to Japan, Korea, Australia, China, Taiwan, and the US East Coast. Prior to Hawaiian Airlines, he led the branding efforts at Bank of Hawaii, in addition to the advertising, events, and community affairs departments. Kevin was named the AAF Hawaii Advertising Person of the Year in 2022. He currently serves on 4 Hawaii-based community non-profit boards focused on child and family health issues as well as workforce development. He previously served as president of Pacific Islanders in Communications, an entity funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, that ensures that Pacific Island voices are seen and heard in public broadcasting on the national stage. Kevin’s passion is finding the middle path that cultivates love and appreciation for Hawaii, while simultaneously protecting the authentic reasons why Hawaii is so beloved in the first place.
