Amanda Porcuna

Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa - Kapolei, HI

Amanda Porcuna first discovered her passion for culinary arts 17 years ago while working as a culinary cook and pastry intern for a small family business. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Porcuna was accepted to attend the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts’ inaugural culinary program sponsored by Johnson & Wales University, where she earned her first culinary certificate at the age of 17. Through hard work and dedication, she competed in culinary competitions across the U.S., eventually earning a scholarship to Le Cordon Bleu, where she obtained an associate degree in patisserie and baking.

In 2011, Porcuna pursued her lifelong dream of working at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Over the course of 13 years, she climbed the ranks at multiple locations across the property, including Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, with talented chefs serving as her mentors. Continuing her career with Disney, she joined the Aulani Resort culinary team in 2024 as Pastry Chef.

In her spare time, Amanda Porcuna enjoys traveling and cooking with her son. Her greatest passion lies in teaching and showcasing her love for the pastry arts, always striving for excellence.
