Alex Law started his illustrious bartending career pouring pints at Music Festivals in England, where he grew up. It was only when he was traveling Australia years later that he found himself working behind the bar again. As he began to work with cocktails, Alex found himself intrigued by the art that goes into crafting and balancing the perfect drink. Alex developed his craft working at bars in New Zealand, England and Hawaii before landing a place at Podmore when they opened in 2021.

Influenced by owner Chef Anthony Rush’s creative work, Alex likes to play with gastronomic techniques in his cocktails. While taking inspiration from the kitchen, Alex also incorporates the world around him whether it be from music, his travels or even his dog while developing his drinks. As Lead Bartender, Alex helps develop not only the main cocktail menu, but also menus for special events and holidays whether it be a refined paired tasting menu with sister restaurant Senia or a gory and gruesome menu for Halloween.
