Alongside chefs Charles Andres, Raphael Lunetta, Ori Menashe, Frank Pabst, and Marcel Vigneron, these extraordinary tastemakers will showcase the rich culinary traditions of Italy and the Mediterranean using the best of Hawaii’s farm-fresh ingredients. Paired with the celebrated wineries, including some from Italy’s famed wine regions, guests will sip and swirl alongside winemakers and sommeliers. The prize package, which includes air travel, ground transportation and hotel accommodations, is valued at just over $10,000.
“We came to the festival as part of our honeymoon last year and it was a dream come true,” exclaimed one sweepstakes winner who attended HFWF’s O‘ahu events last year. “Everything from the incredible array of dishes and perfectly paired wines, to the unforgettable flavors, we had the most amazing time! We’re already planning to come back for this year’s festival.”
This year, more than 95 world-renowned chefs and culinary personalities will be joined by winemakers, sommeliers and mixologists to showcase their talents while highlighting the diverse flavors and bountiful local ingredients that make Hawaii a true culinary destination. As the only festival that requires participating talent to use a locally grown, raised or caught product in their dish, HFWF attendees are treated to culinary creations they won’t taste anywhere else while directly supporting Hawaii’s local agriculture, ranching and fishing industries.
The October 25-27 events will mark Hawaii Food & Wine Festival’s return to Kaanapali Beach Resort following the devastating wildfires last August, which prompted HFWF organizers to raise and distribute over $1.2 million in relief funds for more than 1,200 restaurant, bar and hospitality workers in Maui through the nonprofit organization’s Kokua Restaurant & Hospitality Fund. Since the Festival’s inception, proceeds from HFWF have supported local aina-based and community organizations committed to culinary and agricultural education, sustainability and cultural programs with nearly $5 million in giving to date.
The Fourteenth Annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival is scheduled for three weekends of events across three islands from October 18-November 10, 2024.
