HACA teams up with Agribusiness Development Corporation to feature locally made value-added food and products at Food and Product Innovation Network Day at the State Capitol

The Hawaii Ag & Culinary Alliance (HACA), in partnership with the Food and Product Innovation Network (FPIN), will host the inaugural Food & Product Innovation Network Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, February 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Hawaii State Capitol.

 
The day will unite state leaders, local value-added food product businesses, agency partners, industry collaborators, and community stakeholders to highlight the collective progress of Hawaii’s food and product innovation ecosystem. The gathering will showcase local value-added products using Hawaii-grown, raised, or caught ingredients to strengthen cross-sector relationships and elevate shared priorities including food security, workforce development, and economic diversification. Exhibitors will display and share samples of their products, including more than 20 alumni of HACA’s Cottage Industry to Commercial Enterprise Scholarship to Leeward CC’s Aina to Makeke program.
 
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the entrepreneurs behind these small businesses, learn more about initiatives advancing local production, and connect with the partners helping to shape Hawaii’s food future! Entry to the state Capitol: The state Capitol has implemented increased security measures. All visitors entering the Capitol are required to go through metal detection screening from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. All visitors may enter the Capitol through three entry points: Two at street level (elevator Cores 1 and 3) which are located at the Diamond Head makai and Ewa mauka corners of the Capitol Rotunda, and through the main basement entrance.
