Jason Brand

Co-Founder, Ko Hana Distillers | Nalo Farms - Kunia, HI

Jason Brand co-founded two of Hawaii’s larger agricultural businesses: Ko Hana Distillers (ag for export) and Nalo Farms (ag for local consumption). He is also the President of the Brand Industrial Group Inc, which serves as a holding company for investments in sustainable farming, aquaculture, digital media, digital payments, programming and film productions. Prior to moving to Hawaii in 2008, Jason retired as President of Merrill Lynch in Asia, a Senior Vice President on the firm’s Management Team, and a Director of DSP Merrill Lynch, Ltd., in India. Jason currently serves on the board of the Hawaii Food Bank, represented the private sector on the state’s Workforce Development Council, leads the Hawaii Foundation for Agriculture Research, and recently chaired the USDA Advisory Committee on Beginning Farmers and Ranchers.

Jason received his CFA in 1997 and graduated from Cornell University.
