Evan Salvador-Stevens is the co-owner and executive chef of Big Island Smokehouse, a Native Hawaiian-owned food truck and catering company based in Hilo, Hawaii. Known for his smoked meats and locally inspired cuisine, Salvador-Stevens has built a reputation for creating memorable dining experiences that celebrate the people, ingredients, and traditions of Hawaii Island.

His culinary experience spans food festivals, private catering, community events, and custom chef-driven dinners. In 2025, he earned first place at the Smoke It Up Festival for his award-winning Smoked Meat Dip, showcasing his creativity and skill in utilizing locally sourced ingredients. Most recently, he served as the private chef for a destination wedding in Oregon, where he curated and executed a customized menu for guests from across the country.

Beyond the kitchen, Salvador-Stevens is passionate about supporting local agriculture, strengthening community connections, and creating opportunities for fellow entrepreneurs. Through Big Island Smokehouse and Hale Ai Momona, a community bake stand in Hilo, he helps provide a platform for small food businesses and local vendors to grow and thrive. A graduate of the CIP x CIA Workforce Development program, Evan Salvador-Stevens is honored to participate in the 2026 Hawaii Food & Wine Festival and looks forward to representing Hawaii Island while sharing the ingredients, traditions, and values that continue to inspire his work.
