Born on the island of Oahu, Sarian’s journey took her to New York at the age of 16. There, she pursued her passion for the arts and obtained a degree in Fine Art from The Cooper Union College. Specializing in printmaking, photography, and bookmaking, Sarian’s artistic background uniquely prepared her for the world of mixology.

Embarking on her career as a bartender in the bustling city of New York, Sarian was immediately drawn to the challenge of creating bespoke beverages tailored to each customer’s preferences. Immersed in a culture that sought more than the ordinary cocktail, Sarian embraced the opportunity to push boundaries and craft unique libations. Eventually, her path led her back to her hometown of Honolulu, where she continued her professional growth with Halekulani.

At Halekulani, Sarian has played a pivotal role in leading the beverage team and spearheading the development of signature drinks across the hotel’s restaurants and bars. Through her dedication to using unique custom ingredients and creating unexpected flavor pairings, Sarian believes that every element in a cocktail serves a purpose, resulting in an extraordinary sensory experience for guests.

Beyond her expertise in mixology, Sarian is passionate about sharing the rich history and methods of cocktail making as both a craft and a cultural staple. Her commitment to the art of mixology goes beyond the glass, as she strives to create memorable moments for every guest she serves.

In her free time, Sarian enjoys exploring new flavors and techniques, constantly expanding her knowledge and repertoire. She finds inspiration in the diverse cultural influences of Hawaii, infusing her creations with a unique blend of tradition and innovation.
