Tadeo Borchardt has followed a circuitous road (a “camino”) towards pursuing his love of wine. The road has taken Tadeo from a teacher in a 6thgrade classroom in the desert in Arizona to walking vineyards and honing his craft in a cold cellar in the Napa Valley. For more than the past decade, as winemaker at Neyers Vineyards, he has been making wines of distinction and wide acclaim. Being winemaker for Bruce Neyers has allowed the opportunity to travel extensively through the winemaking regions in France and Italy spending invaluable time in vineyards and with some of the most respected winemakers in the wine industry. Now for the first time ever, he is releasing his own personal label, Camino, beginning with two wines sourced from singular vineyards and grape growers whom he has the highest degree of respect. These two sites’ great terroir along with the varied terroirs Tadeo makes for Neyers Vineyards are reflected in the minimal interventions he makes in the cellar and his humble talents guide these wines into the bottle.
