Lucas Woodden has been the executive chef at bills Hawaii since 2015. bills Sydney is the famed farm-to-table, all-day eatery founded by Australian culinary superstar Bill Granger, with locations in Australia, Japan, Korea, the U.K., and Hawaii. Woodden helms the kitchen at the Waikiki restaurant and travels to other bills locations around the world throughout the year to learn about new menu items and to share, exchange and collaborate on ideas with Granger and his other chefs.
Prior to bills, Woodden worked at P.F. Changs in Waikiki and other locations on the mainland U.S., as lead sous chef and international culinary trainer. He has also worked at popular boutique eateries in Colorado, including Pahgre’s, Café 110, Belly’s, Gigi Ann’s, and Cowboy Ciao.
The talented and energetic Woodden has more than 16 years of experience in the industry and is proud to have won awards along his journey. He holds an Associates Degree in restaurant management and operations and received a culinary certificate in classic French and modern culinary techniques from Le Cordon Bleu. He has paid his dues in the kitchen, starting as a dishwasher, but worked his way up through self-determination and drive.
