NINTH ANNUAL - OCTOBER 5-27, 2019 - SAVE THE DATE!
Alicia Yamachika has been a bartender in Honolulu, Hawaii for over 13 years, and in the hospitality industry for over 18 years. She got her start as a cocktail waitress at the landmark Waikiki restaurant, The Shore Bird, as an English major attempting to pay her way through college. After graduating from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Alicia began bartending in numerous bars and restaurants, most significantly, Uncle Bo’s Pupu Bar & Grill, Nobu Waikiki & Nobu Honolulu, and Pint + Jigger, where she developed a love for the art of craft cocktails under the close mentorship of Owner/Operator, Dave Newman. Since then, Alicia has created and run cocktail programs at Livestock Tavern, a seasonal American comfort food eatery in the heart of the Honolulu business district, and Mahina & Sun’s in The Surfjack Hotel, a locally sourced and sustainably run restaurant consultation project in collaboration with Ed Kenney & Dave Caldiero of Town Restaurant Group. Alicia has also assisted in elevating the cocktail program at Azure Restaurant in The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, but most recently, her passion for craft community and hospitality has brought her home back to Nobu Honolulu.
