Campo Italian Bistro and Bar - Scottsdale, AZ

Chef Alessandro “Alex” Stratta comes from a long lineage of restaurateurs and hoteliers dating back to the 1800’s. After graduating from the California Culinary Academy, Stratta landed an internship with the iconic French chef Alain Ducasse in Monaco, before moving to NYC to work for another famed French chef, Daniel Boulud. Lured to Scottsdale, AZ to serve as the Executive Chef of The Phoenician Resort’s fine dining room, Mary Elaine’s, Alex Stratta was recognized as one of “America’s Ten Best New Chefs” by Food & Wine Magazine, and won the James Beard Foundation’s 1998 “Best Chef: Southwest” Award. Intrigued by the fine dining scene emerging in Las Vegas, Stratta left to open Renoir at The Mirage, before moving on to establish the eponymous, Alex at the Wynn Las Vegas, which earned a coveted Michelin 2-Star recognition, as well as multiple Forbes/Mobil 5 Star and AAA Five Diamond awards.

Most recently, Alex Stratta moved back to Scottsdale to open his own standalone restaurant inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean and featuring a sunny and vibrant menu of natural, seasonal and whole foods, paired with a casual counter-service setup that fits today’s modern lifestyle.
