Brooklyn-born Sherry Yard is an accomplished chef who has spent her extensive career making a mark on the culinary world. Her innovative approach has garnered her three James Beard Awards and an induction into their Who’s Who of Food & Beverage in America. Yard has received numerous accolades from renowned publications such as Bon Appetit Magazine, Food Arts Magazine, and more, along with authoring two successful cookbooks.
Sherry began her culinary career at the venerable Rainbow Room and went on to expand her skills as Executive Partner within Wolfgang Puck’s empire for nearly 20 years. Sherry made a name for herself as “L.A.’s Sweetheart”, both for her bubbly personality and her creative and fresh from the farm desserts, which became staples at events such as the Academy Awards Governor’s Ball, the Grammy Awards and the Emmy Awards. A sought-out national television personality, Yard has served both as a judge and a contestant on shows like Cutthroat Kitchen, The Next Food Network Star, Cake Wars and Christmas Cookie Challenge, among others.
Yard serves as Chief Operating Officer, Restaurant Division for Tuck Hospitality Group, a division of iPic Entertainment Group and in 2017, will revive the Los Angeles icon Helms Bakery as Chef and Proprietor.
