As the New Year started in 2016, Honolulu Coffee Company welcomed newly appointed Pastry Chef Brian Sung to the fold. A California native, Brian spent most of his career with the Michael Mina Group in San Francisco and under the tutelage of Pastry Chef Lincoln Carson, advanced within the group to eventually run the pastry program at RN74 (a Michael Mina signature restaurant). In 2014, Brian traversed the Pacific Ocean to be Pastry Chef at Alan Wong’s Restaurant in Honolulu. He also brings with him several years of experience with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, an Associate’s degree in Occupational Studies from California School of Culinary Arts/Le Cordon Bleu, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. Brian looks forward to bringing new ideas to the company as well as elevating the Honolulu Coffee culinary program to excellence.
