Chef Roy Yamaguchi continues summer cooking series

You are here

The second annual Hawai'i Food and Wine festival is a little over a month away, and Macy's is offering another opportunity to sample the cooking of one of the participating chefs.

Hawai'i Food & Wine Festival co-chair, Chef Roy Yamaguchi of Roy's Restaurants will be cooking this Saturday at Macy's Ala Moana. It's the second cooking demo of the series, which was kicked off last month by Chef Hiroshi Fukui. For his demo, Yamaguchi will be preparing Big Island Kulana beef, fried sous vide egg, and sakura rice with Japanese caviar.

Also participating at later dates in the summer series are chefs Ed Kenney (Town and Downtown), Mark Noguchi (Hanohano He'eia) and just added to the line up, Nancy Silverton of Mozza in Los Angeles.

No reservations are required. Seating begins at 11:30 a.m. on a first come, first served basis. Admission is $5 with proceeds benefiting the Hawai'i Agricultural Foundation.

So come join us this weekend and mark your calendars for future cooking demos:

Aug. 18 - Ed Kenney
Sept. 1 - Mark Noguchi
Sept. 8 - Nancy Silverton
